James D.A. Millington

Overview
OK, so there's not much on this page at the moment, but Natural Hazards definitely deserve a page on my website as studying them at A-Level was one of the reasons I continued to study Geography and the environment at University, and why I have continued to study since. It also give me an opportunity to advertise the two hazard-related sites below. No doubt I'll add to this some more in the future.

My Old Natural Hazards Page
A link to my first ever website: James Millington's Natural Hazards! In 1998 I wanted to learn how to build websites, and as the best way to learn anything is by doing it, I needed to build one. I chose something I was studying and interested in at the time and the result was that website. Not bad for a first attempt eh? And some people seemed to find it useful.

Teaching Natural Hazards
A little more recently (during 2005) I assisted Dr. Bruce Malamud at King's College London on a project to explore ways to teach and demonstrate the mechanics of natural hazards to undergraduate students. The initial results can be found on Bruce's KCL teaching webpage.
